AS part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC) through its Primavera Sales Office along with Damiani Property Management and Services Inc, conducted medical, dental and feeding program to the community of Sitio Batinay, Brgy Tagpangi, Cagayan de Oro last July 17.

The activity was in line with the celebration of the 34th Anniversary of the Philippine Airforce Tactical Operations Group 10. Italpinas has been partnering with PAF-TOG 10 since it developed its first project, Primavera Residences in the city of Golden Friendship. PAF-TOG led community events like Mangrove Planting and Brigada Eskwela conducted in far-flung elementary schools in the city, to name a few. 

“We are coming up with more community services to be conducted in Cagayan de Oro City. We are looking forward to coordinating with PAF-TOG 10 in our future programs as they have been our partners in conducting worthwhile activities,” said Frances Mae Galvez, IDC Brand Manger

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority – National Statistical Coordination Board as of 2017, 22 million Filipinos are still living in the depths of poverty. That equates to one-fifth of the population. Poverty presents itself in a vicious cycle affecting mainly the uneducated population who tend to live in large family units and Sitio Batinay is one of those communities.

No one thing can end poverty. And certainly no one thing that is within the capacity of you, or us, or any particular person or institution. The fight against poverty is a crusade that all of us should be involve fighting against it one step at a time. This is what IDC hopes to foster into the community that we should all be sensitive to the needs of our fellowmen.
