Primavera got the opportunity to render service to the community through taking part in this year’s Brigada Eskwela. Some of us were able to participate in the activity at Taglimao Elementary School, a far flung community in Cagayan de Oro, last May 15, 2017.

This volunteering experience has further inspired Primavera staff of the importance of giving back to the community. Here is a diary:

Gabby:

Brigada Eskwela: Isang DepEd, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan Para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan. Helping the school in National Schools Maintenance Week is a nice experience. It is like helping the students feel that they are welcome in the coming school opening. Students actually are looking forward  how their classroom would look like after Brigada Eskwela. For me, when you had finished cleaning, painting and arranging their rooms, it was like an achievement-achieving the dreams of every student.

Levi:

I am very glad that I was able to do something that I don’t often do. Partaking in Brigada Eskwela means a lot to me- I was able to help young kids. I even forgot to feel tired because happiness was overflowing that time. What I can really tell is that it is a different feeling after rendering service to the community.

Chessa:

Participating in this event has opened our eyes what the community needs. A lot of things we can help to our young people and one example is offering a service to them. The experience was a little bit tiring, however,  the smiles of our co-employees during the activity faded that away. We were happy together aiming for one goal. Thanks to the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group (PAFTOG-10) for inviting us to this fruitful activity!
