Soon-to-rise condominium project Primavera City paid tribute to the music of the late Italian musician, Mike Francis last Friday, October at the Ringside Sports Bar in Uptown Cagayan de Oro. The event was dubbed “Let Me In, Primavera City”, borrowed from the title of one of the more popular singles from among the hits of Mike Francis. Dancing and singing the night away at the event were valued clients, accredited brokers and sellers, executives of Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), developer of Primavera City, and special guests.  “Just like our chairman and CEO Romolo V. Nati and myself, Mike Francis is an Italian who was warmly received here in the Philippines – and we hope you receive Primavera City just as warmly,” expressed by Architect Giovanni Gusella, IDC Senior Adviser for Operations, during his welcome remarks.

“Mike Francis represents things Italians and Filipinos share: Love for music, love for song….. We think that we also share similar tastes when it comes to design and architecture, continued Gusella. He added that Mike Francis passed away in 2009, the same year that Italpinas started as a company.

“Friends” and “Survivor” are some of Mike Francis’ greatest hits that eventually became popular in the Philippines, during the 1980s and 1990s. The hit singles by Mike Francis were played by live act, Cholita and the Trulse.
